Emma Lou turns the big Five!

I really can't believe that she is Five! I feel like time is going to quickly the more children I have and sometimes I would like to freeze them just where they are at! No more
growing and no more birthdays! I do love the age five and it to me is
the best for my kids to finally understand and have
a real party! So this is when they get
the whole works!

Coloring is great and a quiet activity, which is why mom's like it!

Bubble blowing seemed like a great idea, until I realized......

Emma was one of the only ones to be able to blow a bubble! Oh well, gum seemed to be a big treat, since I am the only parent to give my child bubble gum or she is advanced
in the gum blowing department!

Tommy was the only boy and he did not even care!

When frosting not only turn this blue but his diapers, you know it can't be a good thing!

We just love this girl! She comes with so much excitement and Fun! We are sure glad she is our five year old daughter, we feel so very blessed!

Trip to St. George

I am not a very consistent blogger because of my life and priorities. So sorry this is so late and I wish I had taken more pictures of all the fun we had! However in January we got to go to the warmth in St. George and be with Family and watch Stacy run a half marathon. We are so proud of her and grateful for all her hard work because it
also brought us together as family for a exciting cause! We had a blast staying at Grandma
and Grandpa Jenkins Time share and playing for the weekend. We just wish it
could have been for a day or two longer. Next time Maybe! Way to go and Thanks Stacy.

Recent trips and fun with family

Laurel and Craig tied the knot! This is the reason for our visit to Boise recently. We had fun even it was a short notice deal and a quick weekend, it was fun to be with family and cousins.

Another fun part of our trip was the bounce house, which Max and all the cousins had a blast playing for hours. I'm not sure who had more fun Max or Chris going up and down this slide a dozen or so times!

one to bring us together and remind us how blessed we are to have each

Sledding Time!

Chris is such a wonderful Dad! He is a trooper to take the kids up and down the snow bank, sled in one hand Max in the other. They had a blast even though it was absolutely freezing and a storm was on the horizon. I have such great memories sledding! They usually ended with a hurt or frozen child crying uncontrollably, which is how we ended ours. Two frozen children and one that hit an unseen jump and knocked the wind clean out of himself. Spencer said "This was the worst day ever." He ended up being fine but being shook up and a little sore. Maddy was in tears because she still wanted to sled! I tell it is never fair. (if I had a quarter for every time I heard that these days I'd be rich!) We really had a good short sledding trip and it brought back all the memories of my youth.

Life has sure been crazy complicated and blogging has just not made it on my to do list. I am ready to blog now. I have many emotions that have been on the surface and it does not take much to feel the hurt and sadness for the loss of my dear sister Noelle. I also feel sadness for her husband and 3 children that are left behind as she moves on to her new life. (No doubt she is watching and helping in ways we can't see.) I am grateful for the Gospel that helps me understand there is life after death and we all have a purpose in this new life. This does not make the pain and sadness ever go away, though maybe it reassures me that I will see her again and that helps to ease the sadness when I am reminded of her.
Noelle was such a great example to not only my family and her own but also to all those she met. She truly loved all and it was shown by her unconditional love and service. Family meant the world to her and she would have done anything for any of us. I feel as though I did not appreciate her enough. I feel guilty for not being a better sister and enjoying every minute of life or taking more time with her. I know she would not want me to dwell upon this but I find myself occasionally doing this! I have decided I am going to try to be a better sister and be the example she taught. This is all I can do.
I look forward to our meeting in the next life when my time is up and the veil will part for me. She will be their I am sure of it! For now I have a beautiful legacy to follow and the atonement of our savior who understands our pains and loss to comfort me. Until we meet again dear sister. Thanks for all you were and did!

I am finally ready to post something about the Talbots move! I am not much of a blogger but am feeling like this needs to be done to help me adjust! This move is such a bitter sweet for me and my family. I am truly happy for the Talbots and know where ever they go they will make friends and have fun, for this is what I already miss about our dear friends. We have much in common with our families and Ashley seems to bring the good out of me and others with her compliments and kindness. When I needed someone to talk to or help out she was so conveniently across the street. I think Addie and Emma were rarely separated, They were more like sisters than friends. We will claim them as family. We are grateful for this friendship and only hope to see it grow as they move so far far away to London. I am grateful for good friends that help us through life's up's and down's! Who make us better and teach us a little more about who we really are. We know that we will see them soon and that Good friendships are Eternal. Thanks for everything. Love you Talbots!

I am way behind on my posts but loved these pictures! I wish I had a good clip of the video because it is absolutely hilarious. We have just loved Gucci and her Dance studio.
We are very sad we will not be in it next year. Emma and I have love so much about it,

Being a mother can be many things to me.....two words to describe being a Mom is crazy and entertaining. I just love watching my children grow and find so many reasons to smile and laugh if I am looking for them. Other wise I find myself raising my voice and very annoyed or stressed. I have really enjoyed taking time to play and enjoy little Max. He brings me great happiness and is constantly learning and growing as babies and children do so quickly...to quickly at times. I am telling myself daily to enjoy where I am in life because it will not always be like this. This sweet messy faced baby is going to eventually grow into a teenager and I am not sure what that will be like? I hope Awesome!

Olivia Campbell was baptized the same day as Maddy...so much fun!
What a special day and wonderful choice she made. Chris and I are so proud of her.
I could see the joy and lively spirit in her face after the baptism. She is now blessed to have the companionship of the holy ghost. I only hope we have prepared her enough.
We will continue to teach and guide her and watch her use her free agency.
I am grateful to be her mother and I love her very much.

I cannot believe she is already 8 years old! I feel like I just blinked and she went from baby to a big girl...my heart is happy for her and sad at the same time. I am happy because she is wanting to grow up and sad because I don't want to let her. Oh the joy of being a mother, we cannot have it all, unfortunately. I can honestly say I love watching her grow and have loved every stage she has gone through for different reasons. I hope (in only 4 years) when she is a teenager I can say the same thing.

We went out on a date a couple of days ago and got to get dressed up (thanks to half the neighborhood). We went to the Giant in Our City event with Chris' work. The event was for Roger Boyer and Ellis Ivory, Elder Ballard offered the opening prayer (do they pray at the chamber of commerce dinners in other cities?), Elder Huntsman gave a talk. It was fun, the food was excellent. We need to find reasons to get dressed up and go out more often, lots of fun.

I know it took me awhile to finally post some pictures but I've been a little preoccupied. We are doing well and adjusting slowly to the big change of #4. He is fun and we are glad he is finally here. He weighed 8 lbs 12 oz. and was 21 in. long, (the same size as his big brother only 2 in. shorter.) He was born on the 19Th of April a beautiful Sunday evening and everything went good. We feel blessed to have 4 healthy children and even better to have 2 boys & 2 girls we realize this is a blessing and are extremely grateful to our Heavenly Father! We have had an overwhelming amount of help and support from friends and family who are also blessings in our lives! Thanks and we love you all.

I am curious to see what others think we might be having?
You really have a 50/50 chance so your odds are pretty good. We have only a few weeks to go and my family has already decided what we think the sex of the baby is but we are curious to see if our friends and family feel similar, who's idea was this to wait anyways?
Do you believe Spencer will be fortunate enough to have a brother or will he be tortured by
another sister?
One way or another we have discussed this with them and explained that this is out of our hands and whatever comes to us we will love the same either way. I hope and pray Spencer handles this well if it does not turn out to be in his favor!

We went to Gardner Village and ate some food and browsed around the Fun festive Halloween shops. I really did not know what a big deal it was to dress up like a Witch? I feel as though I am already a Witch at times and do not need to dress up as one, however this was a fun outing to do so. I can truly remember when you would anticipate your birthday in advance. Spencer has been excited and asking when is his birthday for......at least 2 months and I am finally glad to say he is 5 and we are done! I really do love birthday's and the parties but also know it feels good to have them over with. I still cannot however believe he 5 years old.

The best game ever has been Treasure Hunt's!

Spencer was excited for all of his presents and ecspecially a head light! He can't wait to play Ghosts in the grave yard at night?

The classic Tug of War. Later they all played against Chris and the boy's won! Chris is still trying to convince me that he let them win. Only he truly know's.

Maddy was pretty excited she got to invite a few friends for a game night. Not exactly a b-day party, but pretty much so! This is what she wanted to do for her Birthday is to play with friends. I made the mistake of letting them decorate cupcakes to start and that was all it took and they were wired up the rest of the night.

Maddy thought it was pretty great she had a soccer game on her B-day!

We were able to finally go in the LasVegas Temple with Chris's sister Staci and husband Bryce. Thanks for putting this together, other wise I do not think we would have made it!

We had the pleasure of visiting cousins in Las Vegas for a wonderful occasion. Cayden turned 8 in August and chose to be baptised. It was a wonderful experience for me and the kids. "Way to go Cayden we are sure proud of you and your example you set. "

We went with my family up to Midway for Swiss days because my sister had a booth. We as in me and my 5 sisters helped and it was fun! We stayed the whole weekend with cousins and husbands and hung out, played games and of course ate! This is the only picture I took but it is precious and priceless to me! I love my Family!

Spence has now started Preschool with his friend Charlie. His teacher is wonderful her name is Mrs. Wing and he seems to have so much fun. He comes home with little acorns every day from a tree in her yard, he is saving up for winter because you never know? I cannot believe he will be in Kindergarden next year!

Soccer is frusterating and adorable and exciting all in one! The first game was good when he came in from sitting out and scored a goal right away. However it has gone down hill in getting his attention to play, until this last game where he and all the other cute little 4 year olds did AWESOME! I actually enjoyed watching him and not trying to parent my bored child. Way to go Spence your doing GREAT! His reward in playing is the treats that come after the game, that's my boy!

I can't believe that it is time! Maybe that is why it has taken me awhile to post this.....and because I don't post very often, anyhow. Maddy is now in 1st grade, Mrs. Jorgensen's class. The first week was tiring for her and for me it felt very long! All day pretty much and I feel like I don't have much time anymore with her during the week. However on the flip side it is very nice that she loves school and is having a good experience and I have more time to give to Spencer and Emma. I can't believe she will be 7 this week and this is good and sad for me. Where does time go these day's?

HIETT FAMILY REUNION 2008

This summer my family and all 9 of my sibblings had our first family reunion in Victor Idaho at a very beautiful cabin. We now have 16 grandkids and will continue to grow, so this was a fun place to go and spend time together since it seems harder to do now as we are growing in numbers and also because of crazy life shedules.

We had a fun time at Aunt Kathy and Uncle Gene's home eating dinner with them and playing. They are wonderful and the kids love going there. They are so great and we love them. I also absolutely love my three children and am so proud of them. Maddy has been taking gymnastics and has been trying to do a Cartwheel for a few months and has finally figured it out. I honestly feel proud and happy for her success. She is growing up way to fast and it makes me sad but also happy because I know she is learning and able to do more for herself. It seems as though just yesterday we were teaching her how to walk and we thought that was difficult. Way to go Maddy!

Salt lake city and all the small homes that are on the mountain coming into Memory Grove.
Isn't the Valley absolutely beautiful right know! Imagine that, with all the snow, rain and cool weather we have had! I have grown to love Utah's beautiful surroundings since I have now lived here for about 9 to 10 years.
This is part of the small young women mutual group that I have the pleasure to serve with. I have grown to love these girs and the leaders I serve with very much. I am anxious and excited for camp in exactly one week. I will be blessed to spend a few days in nature with these beautiful girls and have a wonderful experience, I hope.

We watched the cousins for a few days while my sister and husband went to Hawaii. We doubled our numbers but had a good time.

We took the kids to Temple Square to see the beautiful flowers. It was extremely windy but worth it to see all the colors and blossoms that are now a sign of springtime. Another reminder of how much our Father in Heaven loves us. I find spring for me to be the best time of the year.

Late Night Movie Night

We have started this late movie night instead of sleep overs and it has been a blast. Noisy and wild...but a fun time! Maddy chose the movie Enchanted and all the girls came in Pj's and brought pillows. They got loaded up on popcorn, sugar and some more sugar and by the end of the movie you could tell. (Sorry Parent's) So much fun we plan on doing it again.

We had so much fun making sidewalk paint outside and letting the kids paint. We love springtime, especially after a long winter.

Chandler turns 8 years old, Wow!

We had such a fun time with the some of the cousins for Chandlers eighth birthday! It was short but so much fun. He had a fun Pinata that all the kids had a blast taking a swing at. After the Pinata all the parents did our best to play Basketball and I tell you I hurt bad the next day. It's hard getting older and out of shape!

Here is the cute Payton with his Auntie Jen. We just had so much fun with this sweet little guy. Spencer loved him so much he asked if we could take him home. "Laurel he's adorable."

Snow buddies

Spencer and his good buddy Charlie where having so much fun making the worlds biggest snowball. They are good friends and play so great together. We love you Charlie.

Skiing with Dad

Maddy and Spencer had so much fun with Dad Skiing. Maddy had been two other times but this was Spencers first time. Maddy went all by herself on the ski lift and is doing really well.

Spencer looks like a professional skiier but has a tough time getting up on his ski's every time he falls, which seemed to be often. He however loves to ski his own way and that is straight down and with as much speed as possible!

This was Dad's first time up skiing this year. Dad had a lot of fun but was exhausted after the trip and did not do any skiing on his own. Maybe next time?

Christmas Fesivities

Spencer had a preschool program and sang some fun Christmas
songs with his classmates. His favorite was Rudoph
The Red Nose Reigndeer. Santa stopped in at the end so Spencer
got to sit on his lap and tell him what he wanted.

The Dorsey Family Party at Aunt Kathy and Uncle Gene's

was so much fun. Santa made a surprise visit and even

brought an early gift. Santa is good!

Emma did not so much love Santa. She was not sure of him until he gave her a present and a candy cane than shethought the strange white haired man was alright.

Snow Time!

This was one of the first Snow falls and they

were so excited to play in it. It didn't however take

Emma to long to realize the feeling of being frozen.

Maddy and Spencer could have cared less! The

only way to coax them in was with

Hot Chocolate.

There is nothing better

then catching snow flakes on your tongue.

Afterall, it is part of being a kid!

Halloween Fun!

Halloween was exciting. We had several party's we went to with friends in our ward and of course Trick or Treating was the highlight for the kids. What's better then dressing up and getting lot's of candy?
We had Maddy as our Witch. Spencer as the Pirate. Emma as a cute Pumpkin.

Spencer's 4th Birthday

We had a pary with The Jenkins Family and Spencer was so funny. He is serious when it comes to blowing out the candels on his cake. It took him about 1 minute and lots of spit to get all the candels out. He said, "this is the best birthday ever."
Spencer and his friends went bowling and had a great time. He had a fun day with his Friends, Grandma and Family. I still can't believe he is 4!

Maddy's First day of Kindergarten

Maddy had her first day at kindergarten and she was so excited to go. She said, "mom don't I look so pretty." She was more excited than nervous. She and 3 other friends walked up to school together and it was so cute to see them talk and look so grown up. She is just a baby to me still. Sad to see her leave the nest.
